Every year thousands of schools, community organisations, universities and workplaces hold events across Australia for Wear It Purple Day. As a day of significance for many Australians, it focuses on our LGBTQIA+ youth and the issues they face, whilst showing them they have the right to be proud of who they are and who they are.
This year, the SRC is holding activities throughout the week surrounding the meaning of WIP Day. Please keep an eye out on Compass for these and in your regular classes. On Friday, be sure to wear purple accessories to show rainbow young people that you see, hear and support them.
