NAIDOC Week 2022

NAIDOC Week is a time for all Australians to come together and learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in the celebration of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

All week a range of activities will be run across faculties. Our NAIDOC Assembly will be held in the hall on Friday 12th August in Period 3-4 (10:50-11:40) – family and community members are invited to this assembly. Afterwards, guests are invited to join us for a delicious lunch cooked by Year 11 Hospitality students.

As a school, we are incredibly proud of the achievements of our Aboriginal students and will be taking the opportunity to post their achievements and celebrate their success all this week.

Here’s a throwback to 2020 when current Year 12 students Chelsea Kelly and Bianca Isabelle became Regional NSW NAIDOC Public Speaking Champions for their passionate speech on the ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’ theme.

We can’t wait to show off what our students do with this year’s theme ‘Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!'
