Our extra-curricular highlights
Bush Tukka Café / Café J – Real-World Hospitality Experience
Our on-campus café gives students hands-on experience in customer service, food preparation and small-business operations. Led by qualified staff, the café supports students—particularly those studying Retail Services—to apply their learning in a supportive, authentic environment.
This opportunity allows students to: develop employability skills, work collaboratively, gain confidence interacting with customers and understand the responsibilities of running a workplace.
Creative & Performing Arts – Drama, Dance and Musical Productions
Our Homework Centre operates weekly in the school library, offering a quiet, structured space where students can complete assignments with support from staff. Whether a student needs help getting started, checking understanding, or extending their learning, the Homework Centre provides an encouraging, productive environment.
The Homework Centre helps students: stay organised, improve study habits, access targeted support and feel more confident with their learning.
Trips and Excursions – Learning Beyond the Classroom
At James Fallon High School, we believe powerful learning happens both inside and outside the classroom. Our students have regular opportunities to participate in excursions, outdoor learning experiences, cultural visits, camps and subject-based fieldwork. These experiences allow students to explore new environments, apply their learning in real-world contexts and deepen their understanding of the world around them.
Trips and excursions help students: build confidence, develop independence, strengthen teamwork, broaden their perspectives and make meaningful connections between their classroom learning and everyday life.

Sports Programs & House Carnivals
Sport is an important part of life at James Fallon High School. Students participate in a range of sports, weekly activities and whole-school carnivals. Our House system—Bass, Cook, Flinders and Tasman—builds teamwork, belonging and healthy competition as students represent their House in athletics, cross country, swimming and other sporting events.
These opportunities allow students to: stay active, grow their skills, develop sportsmanship and take pride in representing their school.
