Introducing Accelerated Reader!

This year James Fallon High School are implementing a new reading program called Accelerated Reader. This program is for all students in Years 7 and 8, Big Picture, Learning Support and Diverse Learning. So far this year we have been able to test and determine these students reading levels so that they have all been able to select books from the library that they are not only interested in, but that are pitched at a level that they can capably enjoy. Students have been using their books during class and library lessons and hopefully reading them at home as well.

Once the students have completed their books, they take a quiz that is related to their books and are awarded points that go towards class-based reward systems.

Why not ask you child about their reading and encourage them to not only read at home each day, but to also take their online book quizzes and earn reward points!
